I would agree to you that blog commenting is a good way to get quality back links but again as urged by most bloggers comments should be relevant and should contribute to the post, otherwise it appears pointless and spam.

I believe nofollow will somehow improve your SERPs but not for the pr. As long as nofollow is count as a backlink, having nofollow backlink is not that bad idea.

I am glad you didn’t say how east it is to get traffic like most of the other sites I have been to.
Link building has always been a tedious but necessary part of getting free traffic.
