How do I get Into Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is actually very simple to get into. It is really easy these days to make money selling somebody else’ product using the internet. The internet connects people from all over the world to your product, or in the case, the product you are promoting. An affiliate is someone who makes a commission by referring a customer from their website to another and then a purchase is made. One of the most profitable items to promote are e-books because e-books are cheap to produce, the commission can sometimes be upwards of 75 percent.

All you have to do to get into affiliate marketing is:

1. Find your topic. Figure out what you know more than anything else. Make a website or a blog about this topic. It could be how to fix a vehicle or how to plant a garden or anything in between. There are various ways to get this done; you can even hire a professional web designer to make the site look good. The better the site looks the more likely you are to get sales.

2. Find that product you are going to promote. Look into different companies and different methods. Find something that shows it makes lots of sales as it is. Remember, people these days are more likely to buy your product if it is not over priced as there is probably a cheaper version out there. Make sure you remain competitive in the market.

3. Create links to your site. Get it listed in directories like yahoo and Google. Go and post links to your page on various blogs and forums out there. Do what you have to do to make sure there is lots of traffic going through your website.

4. Check your links to the product. Now that there are lots of links to your site, make sure the links work from your site to the product you are promoting. Make sure that the owner of the other site sees when it’s you selling his product with proper tracking ids, this way here you know you are going to get your commission.

5. Track your success. Often times people promote many different things on one website. Make sure you do not over do your website because you may confuse the reader. The reader wants something that is clear and to the point. They do not want to read about something they are not looking for. So the best idea is to stick to what you are promoting. If something is doing really well for you, make sure you put that link where it is visible by all readers who come through your page. If something is not making you money or costing you more than it is earning, then ditch it and find something else to put in its place.

Now that you know how to do all of this, how about you go out there, research on a topic and build yourself a website. That is the first thing you have to do. Many people out there these days are making great livings on their computers, and so can you.

Why Affiliate Marketing? One common question people ask these days is how do you make money online? When they get the answer to this question, they ask why? Well the answer is quite simple. It is a cheap way to make money online with little to no experience in marketing, internet or money. There are quite a few sites that tell you otherwise, but the truth is, people do not want to let the secret out. Well here it is, the secret is… affiliate marketing is possible by anyone to sell anything. The formula to success is quite simple, the desire to succeed, plus perseverance equals success.

This is all you have to do with affiliate marketing:

1. Get yourself established with a website or blog in a particular niche. This is fairly easy as there are so many topics out there. Just familiarize yourself with one topic, can be anything you want, and create a website or a blog. This can be done however you choose, through a pay host or a free one. Free hosts are nice because of the fact that that are free, but you lose all the good advertising places.

2. Once you get lots of hits on your site, it’s time to link your site to the site you are promoting through links or id trackers. This will show the owner of the site where their traffic is coming from and that it is coming directly from a link through your site. This is how they will know that you are the one who referred the customer to their site.

3. Decide on the products you are going to promote. You may promote one of more products at a time. There are many things to consider when deciding on what to promote. You must look at how many products this company moves. How much they sell for. And what your percentage is. For example, a product that sells for 100 dollars and you get a 40 percent commission sounds great, you get 40 dollars per sale. But if you’re only going to sell 10 units a month you will get 400 dollars a month in commission. This sounds good for one product but definitely not something you can quit your day job with. Now, if something sells for 50 dollars and you get 20 percent you get 10 dollars a sale, doesn’t sound as good as 40, right? But if you sell 100 units a month, now you get a 1000 dollars commission.

4. Don’t let it get you down if you don’t make 1000’s of dollars in the first month. It doesn’t happen very often. For the people out there making the big bucks on affiliate marketing they have been working on it for weeks, months and sometimes even years.

So there you have it, the basics of affiliate marketing. It can be a very good career for those who are willing to keep trying and not let the small things get them down. If you fail at first, find a new niche, a new product or a whole new market. You might not become a millionaire over a weekend, but keep on trying, keep your head up and look for a niche you know about and you can become one of the many who make their living sitting at home on the computer.

What is Affiliate Marketing? What is it? That is a question that gets asked every day? Affiliate marketing is a simple concept. It is where one person promotes somebody else’ product and gets paid a commission. If you have a great product and don’t know how to get it out there, this can be the way to get some sales. Now, if you are on the opposite end, you are trying to sell somebody else’ big product for a commission. The internet is a huge tool these days. People are making it big using the internet every day. This is one of the more common ways to strike it big.

All you have to do is:

1. Decide what niche you want to get into. Although the internet already has so many websites and pretty much anything you can think of already has websites for it, you can still make a website that is better, or becomes more successful if you try hard enough.

2. Get an easily branded domain name. The most common names are usually already taken, however there still are some good names left out there. All you have to do is look. These more branded domain names may be more expensive to purchase, but you will likely get more traffic and ultimately, more sales.

3. Find the products you want to promote. Place links throughout your website. Just make sure not to put too many links together. Try to spread the advertisements out throughout the site. Maybe put some on the home page and then place more throughout the rest. Almost every site out there has some form of affiliate marketing. Any time you see a banner ad or sponsored link along the sidebar, that is usually an affiliate.

4. Track your traffic and make sure you know where your traffic is going. Make sure that you watch which sites are making you money and which ones aren’t. If you find a link that is performing really well make sure you leave it there and try to drive more traffic to it. The best way to do this is either to remove some of your other links or try to find new links that perform as well as that one. If you want to track and protect your affiliate link and even make it viralized through social network, you can simply visit and protect your affiliate link with AffiliateCloaker.net.

5. This is the best part, once you have gotten that website up and running and making you lots of money, you start over. The best way to make a good career through affiliate marketing is to promote a lot of products. The possibilities are unlimited. There is no limit to how many websites you are allowed to own. You just have to make sure that your income is above your cost.

Affiliate marketing can be very easy for some people and quite impossible for others. If you are someone that is going to give up at your first failing attempt then I do not suggest you attempt this career. But, if you are going to keep trying, and learn how to repeat on your success, then you are probably going to have a very fun and successful career.

Who REALLY wins IMWC Contest?

IMWC this, IMWC that… seems like everyone is talking about these guys right now.

On the surface, I’ll tell you what this looked like to me… a bunch of guys who’re holding auditions for marketing systems. IF yours ends up being the best, or you’re inside the top 20, they essentially buy the system from you and then THEY will sell it to make even more money.

Sounds like the standard ‘competition’ B.S. doesn’t it?

You do all the hard work and then someone else gets rich off of your sweat.

It was poker night at the weekend and we’re all sitting at King Arthur’s table (it’s round) having a good laugh at the expense of the IMWC and how no-one’s stupid enough to fall for this con when my friend Gary (the quiet, serious one in the group) cuts in.

“It’s sponsored by ClickBank”, so it was at this point that the chuckles stopped and I thought “ClickBank would never endorse something like that!”

Geeks that we are, notebooks hit the table and we took a few minutes to see what was REALLY going on.

1) You will get an on-going revenue share from each sale of your system (should you make it to the top 20 finalists)

2) The prize money is some serious cheddar. $250K in total with $100K for first place, $50K for the second, and so on…

3) The level of exposure that the winners will receive is absolutely crazy! They will be panel guests at IMWC seminars throughout the US and Canada, radio show guests (they have a radio show at WebmasterRadio.FM called “Traffic. Leads. Money!”) and more…

4) This whole project is not being ‘sold’… they’re not pushing it out there with tons of hype and forcing it down anyone’s throat.

A lot of people have been asking me about Internet Marketing World Cup (IMWC) so I decided to go check it out.

Not bad… not bad at all.

It’s a competition for real marketers. Starting from scratch, the person with the highest ROI system after 2 months is the winner. You get $100K in cash, on-going revenue shares from sales of your system and… you get to become a panelist on their US seminar tour, to be on the radio (they have a radio show called “Traffic. Leads. Money!” broadcast every week at WebmasterRadio.FM) and get a spot in their newsletter.

It’s not a COMPLETE walk in the park though. You have to do a video diary and document everything you do thoroughly. This is the only way you can prove it’s real, honest and transparent!
