How can you make your email to convert to sales or signups? So far we have been talking about delivery rate, open rate and click rate. And really, none of those factors matter if you can’t get your email to convert. So, if you can generate 1000 clicks but only 2 of those clicks make sales/signups, there has got to be something wrong, right?

What can you do to get high conversion rate?

First, if you are selling your own product, you can try tweaking your sales page. Try different headline, different body copy, different price and different guarantee. Just test out and you will get better conversion.

But what If you want to promote affiliate products and you can’t do anything about the website?

There are couple of things you can do and that’s what I will show you next. Pay attention because this can make a HUGE difference.

First, you should understand that your main goal is NOT to sell anything!

At first you may think that the reason you send emails is to sell but that there is something more in it…

Your job with the email is to pre-sell the offer being made on the landing page. (I hate the word `sell` by the way)

I will give you five steps to write powerful pre-sells:

1. Tell them the reason of sending email.

Few examples:

News; People want to know about interesting new stuff.
Discovery you’ve made lately.
You want to warn them about something (very powerful)
You have update (like new blog post or something)

2. This is pretty simple: Tell what you have for them.

For example, tell them you just created a report / video about ____(fill in the blank)…

Or tell them you just finished reading awesome report or watching a cool video about_____(fill in the blank)

3. Tell them what it`s going to do for them. (Very, very important…)

For example: Inside this video/report you’ll learn the secret method to make instant paypal cash in next 2 hours…

4. Tell why they need to take action immediately.

If you create urgency and scarcity, people will rush on the landing page!

For example: You should read this report for free before it’s being sold for $97 and another example: get this for $9.97 because the price goes up tomorrow.

5.Tell them what they need to do once they hit the page.

For example, `After you’ve watched the video, fill in your name and email to get more of free stuff. Lots of people leave this out but you shouldn’t make that mistake. Tell them what to do once they land on the page. People like to be told what to do to get what you offer and you need to clearly tell them.

So, in a nutshell, this is how you write emails that convert to sales or signups:

Tell them what you have for them
Tell them what is it going to do for them
Tell them Why they need to take action immediately
Tell them what they need to do once they hit the page.
