The Era Of Free Internet Marketing In 2010
For this time I suggest you to read the book Free: The Future of Radical Price by Chris Anderson’s, the originator of the Long Tail phenomenon. Digital versions of the book is available for free at Scribd, unfortunately this book is only limited to be read by visitors who came from the U.S.. Well, in the book, Chris Anderson raised the idea that in the future the book is written in the early to know, so ‘the future’ which meant it began in 2010 tomorrow, every business or product owner who wants to succeed should prioritize aspects of free rather than commercial. Give first and receive.
Of course, because this is business, still there ‘calculations in giving’. Several methods can be used:
- Give This, Pay that – One product is given free of charge, but to get other products to buy
- Give First, Pay Later – One product is given free of charge at the beginning, but to use it on an ongoing basis to pay. Equivalent to the system on trial version software.
- Give First, Pay For More – One product is given free of charge at the beginning, but to get the content or a more complete feature must pay. Equivalent to the demo version of system software.
- Just Give, Let Someone Pay – One product is given free of charge, are covered by the commercial value of sales of other products. Usually used in retail stores during the promotion.
All four methods above (actually there are more than four, but for the rest please read the book alone) and this can be applied to Internet business. Not only for the product manufacturer or service provider, those who dwell on blog monetization can implement it.
